Rayat shikshan santha's Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College of Engineering & Polytechnic started functioning in the year 1983 with the branches Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering & Production Engineering courses on diploma side. Considering the continuous demand of Computer Engineering branch from society , Computer Engineering branch has been started from the academic year 2011-2012. We are living in the computer age. Today computers are used in the every field & has wide range of applications. Whether it is a medical application or banking, computers are used to solve complex problems in an efficient manner everywhere in a short time. Since the ever-advancing field of computer technology, computer engineers have a promising future. The department has well-equipped Laboratories & dedicated young enthusiastic faculty, taking continuous efforts for students. The all-round development of the personality of students in the department is the motive of the department. Our computer Engineering Department organizes series of guest lectures, workshops, Seminars, Personality development programs, Entrepreneurship development program from Industry Experts & soft skill development institutes . The number of M.O.U.s has been signed between the department and industries and consulting firms. Regular Industrial visits are arranged to make students familiar with the Industrial work culture. Also, students are motivated to attend Industrial training in Industry as per MSBTE norms. Different curricular & co-curricular events are organized through the Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACES) which is helpful for the development of organizing, management skills as well as leadership qualities of students. Such activities always uplift the merits of young generation and encourages them to acquire more knowledge, skills, and information about curricular and co-curricular subjects. Faculty Guardian Scheme is implemented to increase merit of students. Online lectures/training activities are also promoted from this year . MSBTE, Mumbai has given Excellent grade for the year 2018-19 to the Computer Engg. department which is a remarkable achievement of the department in a short journey of the department.
